Modemaker puts you in control of how your light performs. You can customize brightness, flash patterns and the number of modes to suit how you ride - dial up visibility when you need it, conserve battery when you don’t, and build modes that match your conditions.
Modemaker is pure Knog thinking: smart, practical customization that turns your light into a personal tool, not a one-size-fits-all solution. Because better control means better visibility, longer run times and safer rides - and that’s something you won’t find on just any light.
There are two versions of Modemaker - Modemaker 2.0 & Modemaker 1.0.
Modemaker 2.0
The Modemaker 2.0 web app, released in 2026, gives you total control to customize light modes via a web browser, and is compatible with the following products:
- Cobber Reflex (new in '26)
- Blinder E (coming soon to Modemaker)
- Blinder X (coming soon to Modemaker)
With Modemaker 2.0, you can:
- Enable / disable product features (e.g. Auto on/off)
- Remove light modes from light
- Add new modes from dedicated mode library
- Customise light modes
- Check to ensure you're running the latest product firmware

Please note, products that are compatible with our original Modemaker app are NOT compatible with the latest version. Please continue to use the original app (see below).
Modemaker 1.0
The original Modemaker app, released in 2018, allows you to select and customize modes for the following products:

- PWR Mountain
- Cobber - Lil', Mid & Big (StVZO model – sold in Germany – not compatible)
- PWR
- PWR Seeker
- PWR Camper
- PWR Trekker
- Bilby & Bilby Run
- Bandicoot & Bandicoot Run
With Modemaker 1.0, you can:
- Remove or add light modes, up to 8 (depending on your light)
- Select from a library of Knog designed flash patterns
- Select brightness of constant modes
