After pairing my Scout to the Knog Mobile app, I can see the Knog Scout listed under ‘MY DEVICES’ in iOS->Settings->Bluetooth. Why does it appear here ?

iOS lists certain types of Bluetooth devices here that are connected (or have been connected). Bluetooth devices you might see here include: Bluetooth speakers or headphones, Apple Watch, Heart Rate Monitors, and devices with a ‘bonded connection’.

The Scout has a bonded connection to help maintain the security of the system. Other users won’t be able to connect to or interact with your Scout - and the wireless communication will be encrypted.

If you select the Scout in this list, you will see an option to ‘Forget this Device’. If this is done, the bonded connection with the Scout is removed, and you will no longer be able to connect to the device from the Knog Mobile app. A factory reset will be required in order to be able to set your Scout up again and reestablish the connection.
