Never manually add or remove Scout via your phones Bluetooth device settings, as this will break the encrypted connection or prevent the Knog app from communicating with the Scout.
In order to establish a connection to Apple Find My, first connect the Scout to a charger and wait for a short tone to play, indicating that the Scout is charging. This will activate the Find My pairing mode, and allow you to then locate the Scout via the Apple Find My app and add it as a new device.
Pairing mode for Find My is available only for 10 minutes after connecting Scout to a charger. If it expires, reconnect Scout to the charger to restart pairing mode.
If you still can't add Scout to Find My, force close and reopen the Find My app for a fresh start. In some instances, if an error has occurred during set up, you may need to restart your phone.
If you are seeing an error message in the Apple Find My app and you cannot find a solution via the Apple help center, reach out to our customer service team here.
