Scout is non-responsive in the Find My app

For help connecting Scout to Find My, see the instructions here.

If your Scout is connected but not responding or updating in the Find My app, first force close and reopen the app. If that doesn't work, connect Scout to a charger and ensure that there is adequate charge - if the Scout has a critically low battery, Find My functionality may be suspended. Lastly, check that the Scout firmware is up to date via the Knog app.

If your Scout is showing as online and connected in Find My, however its location is not updating correctly, or if the location updates are not as timely or accurate as you would expect, it could be due to a lack of compatible devices nearby to assist in triangulating the device location. When more compatible devices are present or when the Scout moves to a busier location, accuracy should improve.

If you believe that there may be an error present within the Apple Find My app and you have the Scout with you, you can try removing the device from Find My and adding it again as a new device to see if this corrects the issue (we don't recommend attempting this if your Scout is currently lost or potentially stolen though!).
