Scout attaches to your bike using the bottle cage braze-ons.
The standard distance between bottle cage screw holes is about 64mm.
We use M5 x 20mm security screws, a common size for most bikes.
A longer M5 x 25mm screw is available in our Scout spares pack, which you can find here.
Some E-bikes may need different screw lengths due to battery or component placement. In these cases, use your bike’s original screws or purchase an appropriate security screw from a hardware store.
While Scout security screws fit most bottle cages, some cages with smaller screw recesses may require your standard screws or a longer screw from a hardware store.
We currently do not offer alternative mounting options for bikes without bottle cage braze-ons, so you may need to find a creative solution.
